Phil was raised in Springfield, Missouri, became a Christian at age 11 but didn't get involved in church until late middle-school age.
When he met Dave Jones, a youth minister at an Independent Baptist Church there in Springfield, things started to change. God began to move in his life.
After two years of prayer, Phil surrendered to the ministry and reordered his life and goals to prepare for his calling. He entered Baptist Bible College after High School and it was there he met Donna Brown, whom he later married.
After college and a Batchelor of Arts in missiology, Phil and Donna moved to Texas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary where he completed the ThM in Pastoral Leadership.
From there it was on to Missouri to serve in a church, and it was there that Parker was born.
Phil served as president of Global Missions Fellowship for a time (now incorporated into e3 Partners) and most recently been the lead pastor at Rhea's Mill Baptist Church.
Today, Phil is a writer and entrepreneur. He lives in Texas.
